Marketing and content
Six channels since 2008, all of it made by me, and four other businesses ended up paying to advertise on it.
All capabilitiesI do the strategy, the copy, the graphics, the video, the calendar and the publishing, and I have done it without a gap since 2008.
In 2020 other businesses started buying advertising space on it, and four of them held annual contracts through 2022. That was the point it stopped being just my marketing.
Specifically.
- 01
Email — the spine
Rashida's Corner, a monthly market letter published without interruption since 2008. Written by me, working from primary Toronto Regional Real Estate Board and CMHC data rather than repackaged headlines.
- 02
Social — daily, in my own voice
Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and X, each with content built for that platform rather than cross-posted: Reels, document carousels, market graphics, and the plain-spoken posts that actually get replies.
- 03
Video
A library of more than forty videos including Real Talk, a thirteen-part educational series I wrote and presented, plus property walkthroughs and pre-construction project coverage.
- 04
Print and direct mail
Brochures, presentation folders, postcards, door hangers, signage and a full doorknocking programme. The physical channel most people abandoned, which is exactly why it still works.
- 05
Data as content
Monthly market-statistics graphics built from board data and published on a schedule — the thing that turns a feed into a reason to follow someone.
- 06
Brand and identity
One identity system held for a decade — the R|D monogram on cards, signage, the office wall, email, merchandise. I own it because I made it.
- 07
Paid media
A billboard and digital campaign at Rutherford Marketplace, running from 2020 through 2026: seven creative executions, and roughly sixty-six dated placements in the first two years alone, negotiated and paid for out of my own budget.
- 08
Selling the audience
Once the site had traffic worth having, I sold advertising on it. Four businesses on annual contracts through 2022. That is the difference between marketing and a media property.

- Four businesses on annual advertising contracts with my website, 2020 through 2022
- A paid billboard and digital campaign at Rutherford Marketplace, 2020 through 2026 — seven creative executions, roughly sixty-six dated ad placements in 2020–21
- Rashida's Corner — monthly email, unbroken since 2008, current issue June 2026
- Instagram @remaxrashidadhalla — 1,464 followers, publishing several times weekly
- LinkedIn — 1,266 followers, publishing several times weekly
- YouTube — 41 videos including a 13-part series I wrote and presented
- Eight consecutive years of campaign production for a community organisation, 2019–2026
Happy to go deeper.
Any of this stands up to questions. That is rather the point of writing it down.
