Leading teams and partners
I have managed people who reported to me, and coordinated five specialists at five other firms who did not.
All capabilitiesOne kind is managing people who report to you. The other is getting a mortgage agent, a lawyer, a stager and an insurer — four businesses, none of them mine — to run to one timeline for one client.
Nobody in that second group is obliged to listen to me, so it runs entirely on sequencing, on being clear, and on owning the outcome anyway.
Specifically.
- 01
Managing people
Teams of varying size across the businesses I have run, from the apparel years through the brokerage. Hiring, training, scheduling, standards and the accountability that goes with being the owner.
- 02
Coordinating across firms
Built and ran a vetted bench of five specialists at five separate businesses — mortgage, real estate law, staging and design, insurance and investment, and me — sequenced so the client never had to project-manage their own transaction.
- 03
Being the accountable name
As Broker of Record the buck genuinely stopped with me. Supervision, conduct and regulatory responsibility for everyone operating under the brokerage.
- 04
Working across cultures and languages
Running rooms and negotiations in English, Katchi, Gujrati and Urdu, in one of the most demographically diverse markets in North America.

- Broker of Record with supervisory responsibility, 2017–2026
- Team R|D — five specialists across five independent firms, coordinated on every transaction
- Co-owner and operator of a hospitality business, 1996–2008, with responsibility for hiring, training and scheduling
Happy to go deeper.
Any of this stands up to questions. That is rather the point of writing it down.
